The Iron County Road Commission is responsible for providing a road system that is reasonably safe and convenient for the traveling public.
- EFFECTIVE 7:30 a.m., TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2025 , Division Street from M73 to 900 feet Easterly HAS BEEN CLOSED for the winter to ALL traffic.
- EFFECTIVE 8:00 AM, THURSDAY, MARCH 5, 2026 SPRING ROAD RESTRICTIONS ARE IN PLACE ON ALL ROADS IN IRON COUNTY.
- EFFECTIVE FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 2025 , Ahlberg Road from M73 to East Brule Lake Road AND Ranch Road from M189 to Brule River Road have been closed until further notice due to spring breakup.

The Iron County Road Commission maintains 224 MDOT highway miles and 633 primary and local miles of road. We are local people taking care of local roads and local needs. We provide and maintain a safe, cost efficient and quality county road system for the motorists in Iron County.
